From our morning post [
here], I mentioned Carter had his 2 month doctor appointment which also meant 6 vaccinations; 5 shots and 1 orally. He was a champ! There were two nurses. First nurse #1, gave him the oral vaccination which he LOVED. He was chowing down on the drops as she put them in his mouth. Then both nurses went to work and injected all 5 shots into his thighs (2 in left and 3 in the right) within seconds. He wailed during, then Jeff picked up up and comforted his little boy. We immediately gave him his binky and he calmed down. He didn't cry again. There were toddler boys who got shots while there who were crying as they walked out. Not Carter. I know I'm a proud mom but I am thoroughly impressed with how good he was. At around 2pm while out getting some rays (me & dad not Carter), he woke up a little cranky, gave him his baby Tylenol drops as instructed by our doctor, fed him and he's back to happy baby. Thank goodness, was very nervous.
If you ever read this Carter, sorry for the pain you had to endure today but remember, shots really aren't something to fear and they are meant to help and keep you protected from bad things. We love you with all our hearts!!
On a better note, here are stats from today's doctors appointment:
Weight: 11 lbs 14 oz (49th Percentile)
Height/Length: 23 1/4 in (58th Percentile)
Here are some photos took on my cell phone at the doctors appointment:
Way to be a champ today buddy! We love you.
