Baby Boy - five months

Carter had his five month birthday this Sunday, June 12, 2011!!

The past five months have gone by in the blink of an eye.  Cannot believe he is already five months old.  Boy oh boy, our little boy has changed so much these past few months.

We're not sure his length and we'll find out at his six month appointment but he's out growing clothes right before our eyes.  Not his body girth and size but his length is too long for shirts, onesies and sleepers.  We noticed last week, he had grown out of his sleepers and only had two that fit.  We now have a HUGE Rubbermaid container already full of clothes he's out grown.

The latest things with Carter now at five months:
- he LOVES to hold his binkie and pull it in and out of his mouth and chew on the side of it
- his two favorite toys: Sofie Giraffe and his rattle furry rattle Giraffe.....seeing a theme here?!?! Giraffe's
- He started rolling onto his tummy in May and now just before his five month birthday, he can roll from tummy and back to his back
- He wants to stand if you're holding onto him.  Try to burp him and if his feet are touch a surface he tries to stand, he's sitting on the ground and you're holding him, he tries to stand.  I think he's trying to stand a bit too early but thankful he has such leg strength already.  However I notice how busy I am now that he rolls and know it's just going to get crazier around here as he moves into the next crawl in a couple months and after that pull himself up and stand and then walk....yikes.
- Has discovered both feet and can now grab them both
- He drools and drools and drools (Pediatrician says he has started teething)
- He loves his bumbo chair
- He is extremely observant and wants to watch EVERYTHING going on around him
- Sometimes when out and about, hard to get him to pay attention to eating time or to take a nap as he wants to watch everything and everyone around him
- He loves to play and talk to himself and his mobile animals in the morning when he wakes up
- When you go into his room in the morning or after a nap, he gives Jeff and I the biggest happiest smile and melts our hearts
- When I pick him up from daycare he puts his arms out for me to pick him up and gives me the BEST and BIGGEST smile  and again, melts my heart
- LOVES looking at his daddy, and his voice and follows him everywhere he goes
- Getting a picture of him is getting harder as he loves to move around
- He still dislikes the nose bulb and having his nose cleaned, if only he could understand us when we tell him its for his own good and in a few years when he can blow his nose we won't need to use the bulb anymore....one day

Every day with him is fun and we're blessed to have Carter.  He is the best part of every day and we are enjoying life as parents to our Mr. Carter Grey S..
