My dad's Fraternal Grandma, my Great Grandmother (GG), Virginia, turned 100 on November 12, 2010. My GG lives about 20 minutes away from where we are in Colorado. We had the pleasure of celebrating with her and all of my dad's family (sans a few who couldn't make it) GG's 100th Birthday on 11/13/10. My Grandfather put on and hosted a great party for her at her assisted living home. My parents traveled all the way from the UAE, where they currently live (more on their trip in a separate post later), to celebrate in this momentous celebration. It is amazing to not only have a Great Grandmother who is still alive, yet to have her turn 100 and be able to celebrate with her and our extended family her 100th Birthday.
