There is so much to update you all on. We've been living in Colorado for just over a week now and love it! Finally feeling a little more settled. Our first week in Denver was filled with so much, but I'll have to post on that later.
Hope you all could use a laugh this morning, here’s my story to share…..
The day started off great. Was shaping up to be a great & productive morning. Got up super early, hit the gym with a friend, went to Starbucks, got home before people were even on their way to work, was going through e-mails and having a great morning. Then while talking on the phone & cooking some food, I dropped my phone in a pot of water. I would now no longer consider it a good & productive morning. I have tried everything, air drying, taking the blow dryer the device, and it unfortunately won’t work. Before at least it would turn on, but now the screen has gone permanently dark and none of the buttons work. Imagine that, a cell phone does not work after being fully immersed in water....weird.
As much as I can laugh at this, learn from it and move on, I am a little mad at myself for this mistake. Last thing I want to do is have to go get a new phone. I mean I just go this blackberry beginning of March (and it was free thanks to my dad not being able to use it in Dubai....thanks again dad). Not to mention Jeff & I got it 'Ghost Armored' at Best Buy. Can't believe I ruined the phone. Of course with this mistake I've made, makes me really think about what to do next. The real decision is, do I stay with Verizon and the Blackberry or switch to AT&T and an iPhone? They will do the water damage test on it at the Verizon store, realize what happened and I'll have to buy a new device. Water damage voids all insurance. Seeing that I'll have to spend money on a new device I am considering making the switch to the iPhone. I just wish the iPhone was on Verizon. I am still not sure about AT&T. Only time will tell which way I'll go today with this decision. And while I'm at it, I think I might have them change my number to a Denver number. Or maybe that is too much to do all at once because then I need to update everyone with a number too and there is still lots of work I need to attend to today, not necessarily spending my time updating people with a new number.
Needless to say, I need to get a phone ASAP. I don't know about you but I am LOST without my phone. It's like I am brain dead & can't function without it. Can't call my suppliers for work, can take calls, don't know any one's number, etc. Now that is sad!!
I think a phone needs to be invented that works after being immersed in water….just saying. :)
Happy Tuesday all. I'll be back later for updates on our first week as Colorado residents!
